Researchers from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) are recruiting participants for a study about voting among justice-involved groups in California. This is a non-partisan effort and the goal is to make voting easier for people who have been impacted by the criminal justice system.

You can join this study if you are eligible to vote in California.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked to sign up to receive text messages about voter eligibility, registration, and how and when to vote. You will receive approximately 5-10 messages from now until approximately two weeks after Election Day 2020. Standard text messaging rates may apply.

You will be entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card.  We will give away twenty $100 gift cards by November 18, 2020.

This project is being led by Naomi Sugie and other graduate students from UCI’s Department of Criminology, Law and Society. If you have questions, please contact Daniela Kaiser at freethevoteca@gmail.com or (657) 226-0118.
